Skiing: Olympic champion Sara Hector fights with a stroke of fate

Things are going well for Sara Hector (30), but in her private life she struggles against a blow of fate.

At the beginning of the year, the Swedish Sara Hector (30) surprised with her Olympic victory in Beijing in the giant slalom. And things are going well for her in the current season: in the first two slaloms of the season in Levi she finishes 5th and 7th.

However, in addition to the clues, Héctor has to deal with a stroke of fate: his mother suffers from ALS. “It is a disease that is getting worse and worse,” the skier said recently in an interview with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. His mother’s progress has been slow so far and Hector is thankful for that.
